Proj: Messaging Comments Not Added to Notes Field

SYMPTOMS
When you use the Microsoft Project Workgroup features, comments in an updated message may not be saved to the task’s Notes field.
CAUSE
When a comment is added to the Notes field, Microsoft Project checks to see if the Notes field has enough space available to contain the following information:
Resource’s Name (256 characters) Comment (256 characters) Date of update (64 characters)
If the Notes field has fewer than 576 characters available out of the total of 3072, Microsoft Project will not save the comment.
STATUS
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Products listed at the beginning of this aritcle. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
