SYMPTOMS
When you close a file to which you have made changes, Works normally asks if you want to save the changes before it actually closes the file. However, in the Database Form view (version 3.0) or Form Design view (version 4.0, 4.0a, 4.5, or 4.5a), certain formatting changes do not cause Works to prompt you to save changes when you close the file. For example, if all you change is the font, font size, color, text style, border, or pattern shading, Works will not prompt you to save the file before you close it. Unless you manually save the changes before closing the file, Works will not save your formatting changes.
RESOLUTION
Save your file before closing it to ensure that the formatting is saved.
MORE INFORMATION
This behavior does not occur when making formatting changes from List view.
