SYMPTOMS

The mixer settings for volume control may not work with a Media Vision 3D sound card. Moving the slider to increase or decrease the volume may have no effect.

CAUSE

Some Media Vision 3D sound cards do not allow mixer settings to work if the sound card is not using I/O address 220.

RESOLUTION

Change the I/O address for the sound card to 220. For information about how to do so, please consult the sound card's documentation or manufacturer.

After you change the sound card's I/O address, remove the sound card in Device Manager, and then use the Add New Hardware tool in Control Panel to redetect the sound card.

MORE INFORMATION
