When you attempt to print a page that requires more printer memory than the printer driver is configured for, you may receive the following error message:

CAUSE

The default memory setting for most laser printers is 1 megabyte (MB) or less in Microsoft Windows 95.

RESOLUTION

Check the memory that your printer has and then adjust the printer driver to match it.

MORE INFORMATION

Incorrect printer property settings can cause this error message. Follow these steps to check the printer property settings:

  1. Click the Start button, point to Settings, then click Printers.
  2. Use the right mouse button to click the printer you want to check, then click Properties on the menu that appears.
  3. Verify that the printer properties (such as printer memory and paper size) are correct. Printer memory is listed under the Device Options tab of the Properties dialog.
