SYMPTOMS
When an application that is designed to run at Windows NT priority level 15 runs in a tight loop, the system may stop responding (hang).
This problem does not affect the system security and/or data integrity. It does not allow someone to access your data, and it does not corrupt your data. It prevents the system from processing other tasks, and effectively hangs the system.
RESOLUTION
Obtain the fix mentioned below, or wait for the next Windows NT service pack.
STATUS
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Windows NT version 4.0. This problem was corrected in the latest Microsoft Windows NT 4.0 U.S. Service Pack. For information on obtaining the service pack, query on the following word in the Microsoft Knowledge Base (without the spaces):

NOTE: This fix is to be applied only to computers with Service Pack 2 for Windows NT 4.0 installed.
