SUMMARY
You can install Automap Streets, version 4.0 to work with an existing installation of Automap Road Atlas, version 4.0, allowing you to combine wide-area maps and street-level maps in a common interface.
Microsoft Automap Streets 4.0 cannot be used with Automap Road Atlas for Windows, version 3.05 or earlier, Automap Pro, or Automap Road Atlas for MS-DOS.

NOTE: These steps assume C is the letter of your hard disk and D is the letter of your CD-ROM drive.
Microsoft Windows 95/98
Automap Streets uses the Auto-Insert Notification feature of Windows 95/98 to simplify program installation. To install Automap Streets, follow these steps:
Insert the Automap Streets Disc 1 CD-ROM into your CD-ROM drive. The installation program should start automatically.
Follow the instructions on the screen to install Automap Streets. When you are prompted for the installation path, type the path to the folder in which Automap Road Atlas is installed.
NOTE: The default installation path for both Automap Road Atlas and Automap Streets is C:.
Microsoft Windows 3.x
Insert the Automap Streets Disc 1 CD-ROM into your CD-ROM drive.
On the File Menu in Program Manager, click Run.
In the Command Line box, type the following line, and then press ENTER:
“d:” (without the quotation marks)
Follow the instructions on the screen to install Automap Streets. When you are prompted for the installation path, type the path to the folder in which Automap Road Atlas is installed.
NOTE: The default installation path for both Automap Road Atlas and Automap Streets is C:.
Setup copies files to the C:folder that integrate the two products. Setup also creates two folders, Mapdata and Streets, inside the C: folder. These folders are used to store information specific to Automap Streets.
If you attempt to install Automap Streets to an older version of Automap Road Atlas or to Automap Pro, you receive the following error message:
Setup has detected that you are attempting to install Microsoft Automap Streets in the same directory as a product released by Automap Inc.
These products are incompatible. Please install Automap Streets to a different subdirectory (for instance, C:).
You cannot integrate Automap Streets with these earlier Automap products.
