The Road Atlas Help file does not contain instructions for using the Via option for stops during a journey.
However, the information is included on page 10 of the Planning a Trip section of the Road Atlas user’s guide.

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Automap Road Atlas version 4.0 for Windows. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
