The information in this article applies to:
- Microsoft Money version 1.x, 2.x, 3.x

SYMPTOMS

When you try to print a full page of checks, you receive the following error message:

The number of checks remaining on the sheet must be 1 or 2. Leave this field blank if you are loading a full sheet of blank checks

CAUSE

Money keeps track of the type of check form you are using. It also keeps track of any partial pages of checks that you have to print on. For example, if you have Laser Standard checks with three checks on a sheet, after printing 2 checks, Money will still keep track of the remaining check. The next time you print checks, Money will set the Print checks dialog box to 1 check remaining to print on. If you want to skip this check and start on a new sheet, the box will need to be cleared.

The error message is caused if you use the spacebar to clear the contents of the following message box in the Print Checks dialog box.

If you have a partial sheet of checks, load it sideways into the printer and type the number of checks remaining on the sheet

RESOLUTION

To clear the box, do the following:

  1. Click the box once.
  2. Press DELETE.
  3. Press BACKSPACE.
