SYMPTOMS
When you print a slide that contains a Device Independent Bitmap (DIB) to a Hewlett-Packard DeskJet Series color printer using the HP ColorSmart printer driver version 5.00, you may receive an error similar to the following:
PP4 Caused a General Protection Fault in module DESKJETC.DRV at XXXX:XXX
RESOLUTION
- Run the program Hpvcnfig.exe, located in the Windows directory.
- In the HP DeskJet Configuration dialog box, click to select the HP Color and Reverse Color check boxes. Click OK.
- Restart Windows.
- Run Control Panel, and double-click Printers.
- Click the HP DeskJet driver and click Setup.
- In the Printout area, click Color Graphics. Click OK.
- Open your presentation and try to print again.
