Publisher Setup Fails on Solution Provider CD-ROM

Q132299

-------------------------------------------------------------------------
The information in this article applies to:

 - Microsoft Publisher version 2.0a
-------------------------------------------------------------------------

SYMPTOMS
========

When you try to install Microsoft Publisher version 2.0a from the April/May
1995 release of the "Microsoft Solution Provider Systems & Development
Products" CD-ROM, Setup fails and gives the message:

   Could not open then file named 'D:\PUBLISH\HELP\PTROUBLE.CCD'.

You will have the option to either Retry or Cancel. The Retry choice will
not work around the error message, forcing you to cancel Setup.

CAUSE
=====

There are three files missing from the CD-ROM that are necessary to
Publisher's Setup program. These files are:

   PTROUBLE.CCD
   TEMPCC.CCD
   WORDART2.HLP

If any one of these files is missing, Publisher Setup will fail.

STATUS
======

This problem was corrected in the subsequent release of, "Microsoft
Solution Provider Systems & Development Products."
