PRJ4: Program Error When You Name Macro "VBA.MPP" or "VBA" |

The information in this article applies to:
- Microsoft Project for Windows, version 4.0
- Microsoft Project for the Macintosh, version 4.0
SYMPTOMS
If you create a new macro and name it "VBA.MPP" (without the quotation marks) or "VBA" (without the quotation marks, Macintosh only) and you store the macro in the current file, you may receive one of the following error messages:
A General Protection Fault Occurred in WINPROJ.EXE (Windows)
-or-
Out of String Space (Macintosh)
CAUSE
The "VBA" filename conflicts with the Visual Basic for Application DLL files that are installed with Microsoft Project.
WORKAROUND
To avoid this problem, do not name a macro "VBA" or "VBA.MPP."
STATUS
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the versions of Microsoft Project listed above.
