SYMPTOMS
In Microsoft Project, the Visual Basic, Applications Edition, ChDir statement doesn't change the current folder or directory.
WORKAROUND
To work around this problem, specify the full path to the file you want to open in the FileOpen Command.
STATUS
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the products listed at the beginning of this article. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.

The ChDir statement is designed to change the current directory or folder (on the Macintosh). A ChDir command followed by a FileOpen command should look for the specified file in the directory specified by the ChDir statement. This doesn't happen. Project looks for the file in the directory that was the default directory before the ChDir statement was executed.
