SUMMARY

Microsoft Money can remind you to pay a scheduled future transaction. You can set the number of days in advance you want to be reminded. In Money versions 2.0, 2.0a, 3.0, and 3.0a, you also have the option to set the reminder to count business days only.

MORE INFORMATION

To change the settings for future transaction reminders, use the following steps:

  1. In Money version 3.0 and 3.0a, choose Options from the Tools menu and then select General.

In Money versions 1.0, 2.0, and 2.0a, choose Settings from the Options menu.

  2. If you want to be reminded of future transactions, select the Remind When Transactions Due check box under Future Transaction.

If you do not want to be reminded, clear the Remind When Transactions Due check box.

  3. In the Days In Advance To Remind box, type the number of days in advance you would like to be reminded. This can be set for 0-254 days.

  4. If you want Money to use only business days when calculating reminders, select the Count Only Business Days check box. (This option is available in Money versions 2.0, 2.0a, 3.0, and 3.0a.)

  5. Choose the OK button.

NOTE: Microsoft Money uses the computer’s system time and date as the current date when calculating reminders. For more information about how to check your system time and date in Windows, see your Windows printed documentation or online Help.
