GP Fault Running MS Office Products on Intergraph TD Computers

The information in this article applies to:
- Microsoft Windows NT Workstation version 3.5 - Microsoft Windows NT Server version 3.5

SYMPTOMS

Microsoft Office products such as Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint and Microsoft Access fail with a general protection (GP) fault when run on an Intergraph TD series computer.

CAUSE

This problem occurs if the default printer is set to Iplot.

RESOLUTION

To correct this problem, do one of the following:

  • Contact Intergraph Technical Support for a fix at (214) 669-9680.
  • Connect to the Intergraph Corporation FTP server (ftp.Intergraph.com) and download TPD.EXE. Extract the file and use the new driver for the plotter.
  • Set the default printer to one of the standard printer (such as an HP IIIsi printer).
