SYMPTOM
When you try to run the AutoContent or Pick A Look Wizard, you may get the following error:
Sorry, cannot find c:.ppt. Run PowerPoint Setup.
CAUSE
PowerPoint looks for Wizard files in a subdirectory called WIZARDS, which must be one level below the location of the directory containing POWERPNT.DLL. If you move the Wizard files to any other directory, or rename the WIZARDS subdirectory, PowerPoint won’t find the files, and the above error occurs.
STATUS
This is not a problem with PowerPoint 4.0. An unmodified installation will put the Wizard files in the correct location.
RESOLUTION
Move the Wizard files back to a directory called WIZARDS that is one level below the directory that contains POWERPNT.DLL.
MORE INFORMATION
This error applies to all .PPT files in the WIZARD subdirectory.
