- Microsoft Visual C++, versions 1.0, l.5, 1.51
When developing Visual C++ applications from the command line or using the Visual Workbench, various tools create files for their own use or for the use of other tools. A project may not have all the files described below.
The following files can be safely deleted and easily re-created:
.BSC Contains information for the Source Browser. .SBR Contains information for the Source Browser. .PCH Contains precompiled header information. .VCW Status file used by the Visual Workbench. .WSP Workspace file for a project. .APS Contains information used by App Studio. .CLW Contains information used by ClassWizard. .PDB A program database file used to store debugging information.
NOTE: To re-create the files from the Visual Workbench, choose Rebuild All from the Project menu.
The following files can be safely deleted under certain conditions:
.OBJ Delete only if source files are part of the project. .EXE/.COM/.DLL Delete only if these are your final output files.
NOTE: Do not delete STDAFX.CPP and STDAFX.H. These files are only generated by AppWizard when the application is first created
