PUB2x: "File is too Large...." Error Saving Publication

-------------------------------------------------------------------------- The information in this article applies to: - Microsoft Publisher for Windows, versions 2.0, 2.0a -------------------------------------------------------------------------- SYMPTOMS ======== When you save a Publisher document, you might receive the following error message: File is too large. Delete some objects and save again. CAUSE ===== Publisher has an internal file size limit of 16 MB (minus the size of OLE objects). Once this limit has been reached, Publisher cannot save any more additions to the file. RESOLUTION ========== To allow Publisher to save your file, reduce the overall size of the file by removing some of the objects. If your document has a lot of scanned images, rescan them at a lower resolution so that they require less overhead. Because imported pictures are the most common reason for reaching the 16-MB limit quickly, you can save room in the publication by inserting the picture into an OLE container. ClipArt Gallery or Microsoft Draw are two OLE containers that you can use to reduce file size. Information contained in OLE objects does not count in the 16 MB file size limit.
