SUMMARY
To install one or more supplemental converters for use with Word 6.x, complete the following steps:
- Quit Word if it is running.
If you downloaded the Supplemental Conversions Kit from an online service, you must first extract the kit from the downloaded file. For instructions on how to do this, please see the following article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:

If you received the kit on disk, insert the disk in the floppy disk drive.
- Copy all the files from the disk or the extracted file to the Word Extensions folder. This folder is typically located in your Word 6 folder.
- Restart Word. The converters should now be properly installed.
MORE INFORMATION
If you want to save disk space, you need only to copy and retain the converter(s) you want to use. Each converter file can be easily identified by its name. Names of all supplemental converters are listed below:
Macintosh WordPerfect 2.x - 3.0
MacWrite II
Word 1.x for Windows
Word 3.x-6.0 for MS-DOS
Works 2.x-3.x for the Macintosh
