The information in this article applies to:
- Microsoft Word for the Macintosh, versions 4.0, 5.0, 5.1

SYMPTOMS

If you have a table in your document that prints on more than one page, the bottom (horizontal) border of the last cell on the page may not print if you are using a QuickDraw printer. (See the “More Information” section below for a list of printers where this problem occurs.) This behavior only occurs on multipage, bordered tables.

CAUSE

The bottom border of the multipage table doesn’t print when your document contains a footnote or footer text.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Word versions 4.0, 5.0, and 5.1 for the Macintosh. This problem was corrected in Word version 6.0 for the Macintosh.

WORKAROUND

To print the bottom border if you have not upgraded to Word version 6.0, remove the footer or footnote.

Apple LaserWriter Select 300 Apple LaserWriter LS Apple StyleWriter Apple StyleWriter II Apple Portable StyleWriter Hewlett-Packard DeskWriter Hewlett-Packard DeskWriter C Hewlett-Packard DeskWriter 550c GCC PLP II GCC WriteMove II
