SYMPTOMS
When Resource Usage data, formatted as Cost, is pasted into Quattro Pro v5.0, it is interpreted as text data, not numbers. You will not be able to add these values until they are converted into number format.
WORKAROUND
To work around this problem, follow the appropriate procedure for your version of Microsoft Project.
For Project 4.0
- Select the international settings in the Windows Control Panel.
- Change the number format so that there is no thousands separator.
- In Project, choose Options from the Tools menu, and select the View tab.
- Use a blank as the currency symbol.
For Project 3.x
- From the Options, menu choose Preferences.
- Change currency symbol to a blank.
- Change the thousands separator to a blank, and choose OK.
