SYMPTOMS
When a text box's Locked and Enabled properties are both set to No, the text in the text box moves to a different place in the text box. CAUSE
RESOLUTION
STATUS Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft Access versions 1.0, 1.1, and 2.0. This problem no longer occurs in Microsoft Access for Windows 95 version 7.0. MORE INFORMATION
1. Start Control Panel. 2. Double-click the Color icon. 3. Choose the Color Palette button. 4. In the Color Schemes box, select Ocean, and then choose OK. 5. Start Microsoft Access. 6. Open the sample database NWIND.MDB. 7. Create a new, blank form based on the Customers table. 8. Add a text box to the form. Set the text box's ControlSource property to Customer ID. 9. View the form in Form view. Note that the text in the text boxes is displayed correctly. View the form in Design view. Set the text box's Enabled and Locked properties to No and its TextAlign property to Right. View the form in Form view. Note that the text in the text boxes moves to the right.
