SYMPTOMS

If you use drag and drop to copy more than one line of text from a Word Processor (WP) document to a Communications (CM) document, Works only copies the first line of text.

WORKAROUND

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Works version 3.0 for Windows. This problem has been corrected in Works for Windows 3.0a.

  1. Select the text in the Word Processor document you want to copy to the Communications document.
  2. From the Edit menu, choose Copy.
  3. Switch to the Communications document and place the cursor where you want to paste the text.
  4. From the Edit menu, choose Paste.

Works will transfer all the text selected in step 1.

MORE INFORMATION

Works transfers all the text correctly with the Copy and Paste commands. The problem described above only occurs while using drag and drop.
