SYMPTOMS

The dBASE IV @ ... SCROLL command, which is used to shift the contents of a specified region of the screen up or down or left or right, produces an "Unrecognized phrase/keyword in command" error message in FoxPro.

CAUSE

This dBASE IV command is not supported in FoxPro.

RESOLUTION

FoxPro includes a SCROLL command that can be used to obtain functionality that is similar to the functionality provided by the @ ... SCROLL command.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article. This problem was corrected in FoxPro version 2.6a for MS-DOS and FoxPro version 2.6a for Windows.
