SYMPTOMS
If you install Microsoft Project version 4.0 on a computer with an EGA monitor, the entry bar appears blank (white) and no edit box appears inside.
CAUSE
Microsoft Project version 4.0 does not directly support EGA monitors. VGA or higher resolution monitors are required to run Microsoft Project version 4.0.
MORE INFORMATION
When you run Microsoft Project on a computer with an EGA monitor, and you activate the entry bar to enter a field in your project, the bar appears blank with no outlined box to type in. This problem does not prevent you from entering your project information, it is a display problem only.
NOTE: This problem also occurs with the Compaq Portable 386 Plasma display system.
