- Microsoft Excel for Windows 95, versions 7.0, 7.0a
- Microsoft Excel for the Macintosh, versions 5.0, 5.0a
SUMMARY
In Microsoft Excel it is not possible to view a Visual Basic module in print preview.
Also, if more than one sheet is active (you are in Group Edit mode), and if one of the sheets is a Visual Basic module, you will be unable to view any of the other sheets in print preview until you remove all Visual Basic modules from the group.
The only way to tell what a Visual Basic module will look like when it's printed is to print it. When you are in a Visual Basic module, the Print Preview command on the File menu will be unavailable (dimmed).
WORKAROUND
Highlight the code that you want to print or preview (either a partial section or the entire module). Select Copy from the Edit menu, open a new worksheet and paste the code into it. Be sure that you are not in Group Edit mode (more than one sheet active). The code pastes in properly and allows conventional printing methods and ability to preview.
