WD: Choosing Reviewer for View Annotations Wrong in Macro |
Q110450
The information in this article applies to:
- Microsoft Word for Windows, versions 6.0, 6.0a, 6.0c
- Microsoft Word for Windows NT, version 6.0
- Microsoft Word for Windows 95, versions 7.0, 7.0a
- Microsoft Word for the Macintosh, versions 6.0, 6.0.1, 6.0.1a
SYMPTOMS
Microsoft Word allows you to view annotations by selected reviewers. The feature is not recorded properly by the macro recorder.
For example, when you select All Reviewers (the default) in the Reviewers box at the top of the annotation pane, the macro recorder produces the following macro:
Sub MAIN ViewAnnotations End Sub
This is incorrect, the WordBasic code should be as follows:
Sub MAIN ViewAnnotations ShowAnnotationBy "All Reviewers" End Sub
STATUS
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the above listed versions. This problem was corrected in Word 97 for Windows and Word 98 Macintosh Edition.
