SUMMARY
In Microsoft Excel, when you apply a style to a cell or range of cells, you can undo the style by choosing Undo Style from the Edit menu. However, when you modify a style, this command will not undo the modification.
MORE INFORMATION
Although the Undo command on the Edit menu allows you to reverse some commands or actions, not all commands and actions can be undone. If the Undo command does not apply to the most recently used command or action, the Can't Undo command appears on the Edit menu (and this command is unavailable).
When you modify a style and choose OK to accept the modification and apply the style, the command on the Edit menu is Undo Style. This will undo the application of the style, rather than the modification of the style.
When you modify the style and choose Add and then choose Close, the modification is made to the style, but the style is not applied to the selected cell or cells. The Edit menu will show the Can't Undo command, because the modification to the style cannot be undone.
