------------------------------------------------------------------- The information in this article applies to: - Microsoft Publisher versions 2.0 and 2.0a ------------------------------------------------------------------- SYMPTOMS ======== After installing Publisher 2.0a, WordArt 2.0 no longer works in Publisher 2.0. Although WordArt 2.0 functions correctly when using a PageWizard design assistant, an error is generated when you draw a WordArt 2.0 frame or attempt to insert a WordArt 2.0 object. After you draw a WordArt frame or insert a WordArt 2.0 object, the following error message is generated: MSPUB caused a General Protection Fault in module MSPUB.EXE at 0072:12FB. Your only option is to close the message, which closes Publisher without allowing you to save any changes. RESOLUTION ========== To work around this problem, either install Publisher 2.0a to the same directory (thereby replacing Publisher 2.0 with Publisher 2.0a), or, after installing Publisher 2.0a, delete Publisher 2.0. MORE INFORMATION ================ Publisher 2.0a ships with an updated version of PUBOLE.DLL (version 1.0.2.785).
