PC-Text 4 and PC-Text 5 are the names for adaptations of IBM’s DisplayWrite versions 4 and 5 that have been licensed by a third-party vendor for distribution in Europe. Although Word’s RFT-DCA and DisplayWrite converters have not been formally tested with PC-Text 4 or 5, Word for Windows should recognize and interpret a native PC-Text document as a DisplayWrite file, and all versions of Word on all platforms should recognize and interpret PC-Text’s RFT-DCA export files as standard RFT-DCA. The products mentioned here, PC-Text 4 and PC-Text 5, are manufactured by a vendor independent of Microsoft; we make no warranty, implied or otherwise, regarding these products performance or reliability. For more information or support with PC-Text 4 or 5, contact the vendor that manufactures the product.
