SYMPTOMS
========

When using Microsoft Mouse version 8.2, 9.0 or 9.01, the cross-hair
cursor in Publisher 2.0 will not align with what is being drawn on the
screen if the pointer size is set to medium or larger. (This includes
a text frame or any other graphical selection).

CAUSE
=====

If you choose the medium- or large-size pointer in Mouse Manager or in
the Mouse section of Control Panel, the center point of the cross-hair
mouse pointer will not align with the object being drawn on the
screen.

Steps to Reproduce Problem
--------------------------

1. Open the Windows Control Panel. Double-click the Mouse icon.

2. Select Medium or Large under Size. Click OK.

3. Start Publisher 2.0 and choose Blank Page.

4. Draw a rectangle. Note that the cross-hair pointer will not line up
   directly with what is being drawn.
