SYMPTOMS

If you have a Video 7 VRAM II with a BIOS revision of 8.05 and you are using a 256-color driver, characters in a full screen MS-DOS-based application will appear large and blocky; parts of the screen may be unreadable.

CAUSE

This problem is caused by the BIOS revision; it was not designed to provide 256-color support.

RESOLUTION

To avoid this problem, obtain either a new BIOS or video adapter.
