Summary:
The first paragraph on any page of a Word for Windows document (except the first page) may print superimposed on or below the second paragraph if all the following conditions are true:
- The paragraph is the first paragraph on the page, and it is not the first paragraph in the document.
- The first paragraph contains top border formatting.
- The From Text setting in the Format Border dialog box is a value other than 0 (zero). (Note: the larger this value, the further down the page the first paragraph prints.)
- In the first paragraph, the Spacing Before setting in the Format Paragraph dialog box is a value other than 0 (zero).
We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
