SYMPTOMS
If you fail to read or to update an Authorization Manager (AzMan) store instance in Windows Server 2008 one time, all later attempts to read or update this AzMan store instance fail. This problem occurs when the same AzMan store instance is used.
CAUSE
If the AzMan store is located in the Active Directory directory service, and you fail to read or to update this AzMan store one time, AzMan closes the Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) connection that is used to read or to update the AzMan store. Therefore, all later attempts to read or to update the same AzMan store instance fail.
WORKAROUND
To work around this problem, reinitialize the AzMan store instance in the application code after any failed read of an Active Directory-based AzMan store or any failed update of an Active Directory-based AzMan store.
