You select some text in Microsoft Office Outlook 2007 in a custom form, in a custom interface, or in the dialog box of a third-party add-in. When you try to remove the selected text, you receive an error message, and Outlook 2007 closes. • You press CTRL+X.
  • You press the DEL key.
  • You press the BACKSPACE key.

The error message that you receive resembles the following error message:

  1. If you want to paste the text in another location or in another document, select the text, press CTRL+C, and then paste the text. If you do not want to copy the text, go to step 2.
  2. Make sure that the text is not selected (not highlighted), and then position the cursor at an appropriate location in the affected text.
  3. Press the DEL key or the BACKSPACE key to remove the text one character at a time.
