SYMPTOMS
Microsoft Office Communicator 2005 client computers may send many DNS queries for the name of the Microsoft Office Live Communications Server 2005 pool. This problem occurs when the Domain Name Service (DNS) record for the pool is configured to use a low "Time to Live" (TTL) value.
However, the client computer should have a long-lived Transmission Control Protocol (TCP) connection to the server that is running Live Communications Server 2005. Therefore, this problem should not occur.
RESOLUTION
This problem is fixed in the Communicator 2005 hotfix package that is dated October 19, 2007. For more information, click the following article number to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:
