  • Microsoft Exchange Server 2003 Standard Edition

SYMPTOMS

Consider the following scenario. You are running a Microsoft Exchange Server 2003-based computer that is set to the UTC+08:00 Perth time zone. Additionally, you installed the updates that are described in the following Microsoft Knowledge Base articles:

933360 August 2007 cumulative time zone update for Microsoft Windows operating systems

929895 Appointments that are sent between different Exchange Server organizations may be incorrect by one hour when one of the organizations is in the Western Australia time zone

In this scenario, the appointments are incorrect by one hour if you access the appointments by using the Outlook Mobile Access (OMA) client.

Note The appointments are correct in Microsoft Office Outlook and in Microsoft Office Outlook Web Access (OWA).

CAUSE

This issue occurs because the OMA client maintains internal tables to track time zone information. The tables are not updated if changes are made to the time zone settings in the Windows operating system.
