Issues that were not previously documented in the Microsoft Knowledge Base

The 2007 Microsoft Office servers Service Pack 1 (SP1) also fixes the following Project Server 2007 issues that were not previously documented in the Microsoft Knowledge Base.

Not all files in the Pjclient.cab file are updated after you apply update 940133

After you apply update 940133, the Pjclient.cab file is updated. However, only the Pjgrid12.ocx file in the Pjclient.cab file is updated. Additionally, the ASP pages that are required to push controls and to update controls on the Project Web Access client are not updated.

A project may not open in Project 2007 when tasks are being updated in Project Web Access

If you try to open a project in Project 2007 when tasks are being updated in Project Web Access, Project 2007 may stop responding.

Projects may not calculate correctly if resources are assigned to summary tasks

The server code that schedules projects does not correctly check for assignments on summary tasks. Therefore, errors are displayed in the server logs.

Projects that have default start times and end times other than 8:00 A.M. and 5:00 P.M. have calculation errors when you set a new task end date

If a project calendar has default start times and end times other than 8:00 A.M. and 5:00 P.M., certain calculations are incorrect. For example, you have a task that starts on September 26 and that ends September 27. Additionally, you work seven hours a day. Therefore, the total work is 14 hours. However, if you enter the new end date as September 28, the total work is recalculated as 24 hours. This behavior occurs because Project 2007 assumes that you work eight hours a day.

Error message when you reassign tasks to other team members: "Access denied"

When you try to reassign tasks to other team members, you receive the following error message:

The selected task(s) could not be reassigned due to the following reason(s):
Access Denied

This issue may occur if you are the assignment owner and not the current resource.

Enterprise resources that are saved to a template become local resources in projects that are created from the template

You create an enterprise template that has enterprise resources. If you create a project from the template, the project does not recognize the resources as enterprise resources. Instead, the resources are listed as local resources.

The timesheet PSI can break the Outlook add-in if resource custom field roll-downs are turned on

When you view task assignments in Project Web Access or in the Microsoft Office Outlook add-in, you may receive one of the following error messages:

dataset constraint violation

SOAP Exception: The Server was unable to process the last request.

This issue may occur if a resource has multiple assignments and if an enterprise resource custom field has the Calculation for Assignment Rows option set to Roll down, unless manually specified.

Error message when you try to save a proposal project or an activity project that has custom task fields: "Failed to enable constraints"

If you try to save a proposal project or an activity project that has custom task fields when you have a summary task in the project, you receive the following error message:

Failed to enable constraints. One or more rows contain values violating non-null, unique, or foreign-key constraints.

You may receive query errors when you save changed milestones for proposal projects or for activity project

Proposal projects and activity projects will not work correctly if they have milestone tasks.

A required field breaks the task close feature

When you try to close tasks by using the admin features, you receive the following error message:

The selected Tasks could not be locked because of the following reasons: A required custom field value was not provided.

Custom fields that have formulas are not recalculated for activity projects or for proposal projects

If you have a project-level custom field that uses a formula, the custom field does is not recalculated for activity projects and for proposal projects.

You cannot save a proposal project or an activity project after you set a value in the second custom field

When you try to save a proposal project or an activity project after you set a value in the second custom field, the project cannot be saved. Additionally, you may receive the following error message:

An error has occurred when saving your project to the server. Please contact your administrator.

Enterprise custom field formulas break if you edit them when the client computer list separator is a comma

If you connect to a server and then edit enterprise custom field formulas, the formulas may break if the client settings use a semicolon.

Actual work time-phased assignment data and scheduled work time-phased assignment data is inaccurate in the report database (RDB) and in the online analytical processing (OLAP) cubes.

Reporting data services (RDS) keeps time-phased assignment data that has been removed from a task. Therefore, actual work time-phased assignment data and scheduled work time-phased assignment data will be inaccurate in the report database (RDB) and in the online analytical processing (OLAP) cubes.

Entered data is lost from a resource plan when you make an error and then fix the error

You enter values into a resource plan. However, you make a mistake. When you save the resource plan, you receive an error message. After you fix the incorrect cells and then save the resource plan again, other valid data is lost.

You cannot view all potential owners in the Owners list on the Edit Project Properties page

You cannot view all potential owners in the Owners list on the Edit Project Properties page. You can see only the users who have permission to save projects.

If you import time into tasks from a timesheet and then modify the remaining work on a task, the actual work does not appear in Project 2007

If any fields are changed in the assignment details page before you submit the task assignment, the change log for actual works that is imported from the timesheet is lost.

The resource custom field values for the resource are removed when you add resources to the team for a proposal project or for an activity project

When you add resources to the team for a proposal project or for an activity project, the resource custom field values for the resource are removed.

Error message when you try to log on to Project Web Access: "An unexpected error has occurred"

If you try to log on to Project Web Access when the View Project Summary in Project Center permission is set to Allow, you receive the following error message:

An unexpected error has occurred.

You may receive a "correlation blocked" error when you click Save in Project 2007

If a save operation fails and then blocks the correlation, you may receive a "correlation blocked" error when you try to perform another save operation. This issue occurs because the Project 2007 save function cannot automatically handle CorrelationBlockedExcepitons.

Most resource custom field data does not appear when you view a Team Builder view

When you add custom resource fields to a Team Builder view, most values for the custom fields do not appear.

You cannot view the data of a custom field that has lookup tables by using language settings that differ from those of the server

You have a language pack installed on a server that is running Project Server 2007. However, users who use the language pack to view the data of a Project Web Access custom field that has lookup tables cannot see the data.

You receive an error message when you import a timesheet in Project Web Access

If you try to import a timesheet in Project Web Access when there are null values in the assn_work and assn_act_work fields in the msp_assignments_saved table, the import operation fails. Additionally, you receive the following error message:

Error - unknown error - troubleshoot with Windows SharePoint Services.
