Additional error message 2

CAUSE

Cause of additional error message 1

This issue occurs if you installed Live Meeting Intranet Portal SP2 to a Web site that is configured for non-standard port numbers. If you use a port number other than 80 for HTTP, or if you use a port number other than 443 for Secure Sockets Layer (SSL), the Live Meeting Portal installation wizard creates shortcuts incorrectly.

Cause of additional error message 2

This issue occurs if you installed Live Meeting Intranet Portal SP2 on a server that also has Microsoft Windows SharePoint Services or Microsoft SharePoint Portal Server installed.

WORKAROUND

Workaround for additional error message 1

To work around this issue, correct the Live Meeting Portal shortcuts. To do this, follow these steps:

  1. Right-click the Live Meeting Intranet Portal shortcut, and then click Properties.
  2. Click the Web Document tab.
  3. If you are using the standard port 443 for SSL, type https://localhost/LMportal/Settings.aspx in the URL box, and then click OK.

If you are using a non-standard port for SSL, type https://localhost:XXX/LMportal/Settings.aspx in the URL box, and then click OK.

Note In this step, XXX is a placeholder for the port number that you are using.

  1. Repeat steps 1 through 3 for all Live Meeting Intranet Portal shortcuts.

Workaround for additional error message 2

To work around this issue, configure an exclusion for the path of the new virtual directory that is used by the Live Meeting Intranet Portal. To do this, follow these steps:

  1. Click Start, point to All Programs, point to Administrative Tools, and then click SharePoint Central Administration.
  2. In the Virtual Server Configuration area, click Configure virtual server settings.
  3. On the Virtual Server List page, click Default Web Site.
  4. On the Virtual Server Settings page, click Define Managed Paths in the Virtual Server Management area.
  5. On the Define Managed Paths page, type lmportal in the Path box in the Add a New Path section.
  6. In the Type section, click Excluded Path, and then click OK.
  7. Verify that the path that you excluded is listed in the Excluded Paths section of the Define Managed Paths page.
