This hotfix package fixes the following issue that was not previously documented in a Microsoft Knowledge Base article:

When you programmatically use the parent property of the Hyperlinks Collection Object in the PowerPoint 2007 object model, PowerPoint closes unexpectedly. Additionally, you receive the following error message:

Microsoft Office PowerPoint has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.

When you view the data in the error report, the report contains an error signature that resembles the following error signature.
