Issues that the hotfix package fixes

This hotfix package fixes the following issues that were not previously documented in a Microsoft Knowledge Base article:

You work with a Smart Document in Word 2007. When you move the pointer into the Reviewing pane, the Document Actions task pane may disappear. Additionally, a task pane that you opened earlier may now be displayed.
When you try to open or to edit an embedded Word object that contains other embedded objects, the embedded Word object is not opened. Additionally, you receive the following error message:

Microsoft Office program can't start the application required to open this object.

An error occurred and this feature is no longer functioning properly. Would you like to repair this feature now?

To determine the unique number that is associated with the message that you receive, press CTRL+SHIFT+I. The following number appears in the lower-right corner of this message:

If you click Yes, the problem with the feature is not resolved.

If you click No, you receive the following error message:

Cannot start the source application for this object.

When you use the Microsoft Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) wdDialogInsertFile Dialogs method to return the path of a file that is saved on a network location, an incorrect path is returned.

For example, the VBA macro does not return the network path location of the file. Instead, the VBA macro returns a path that resembles the following path:

C:\Documents and Settings\user_name\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\Content.MSO\file_name.doc
You apply a table style that includes bold character formatting to a table. For example, you apply the "Table Colorful 3" style to the table. Then, you convert the table to text and then save the document in Rich Text format (RTF). When you close and then reopen the document, the text that was converted from table to text is formatted as bold.
When you use the IPersistFile interface to save a document as a Word document (.docx), the document is not saved. Additionally, you receive the following error message:

You cannot save while the file is in use by another process. Try saving the file with a new name. (path\file_name)

When you print a document to a printer that has the duplex option enabled, an extra page may be printed.
You apply a font other than Times New Roman to text in a Word document. Then, you press F4 or ALT+ENTER to repeat the last action of applying the font to other text in the document. When you do this, the font that you specified in the last action is not applied. Instead, the Times New Roman font is applied.
If you use a table of contents (TOC) field in an unprotected section, and if the document also contains sections that are protected for forms, you may experience the following symptoms:
- If you delete a heading that is already listed in the TOC, you can update the TOC field only one time.
- If you add a new heading or change an existing heading, you can run the Update Field command. However, the TOC is not updated, and you do not receive an error message.
You start Word and then start the Visual Basic Editor. If you add a new document and then save the new document as a Word document (.docx), you may receive the following error message:

The following cannot be saved in a macro-free document:

- VBA project

To save a file with these features, click No to return to the Save As dialog, and then choose a macro-enabled file type in the File Type drop-down. Continue saving as a macro-free document?

You run a recorded macro to move the cursor to a cross-reference in a Word 2007 document. When you do this, the macro moves the cursor to a location that is not where the cursor would move if you manually clicked the cross-reference.
