APPLIES TO

  • Microsoft Exchange Server 2007 Enterprise Edition
  • Microsoft Exchange Server 2007 Standard Edition

SYMPTOMS

When you send an e-mail message from a Microsoft Exchange Server 2007 organization to external domains, the outgoing message always displays the name of the sender. This occurs even though the administrator configured the message to hide the name of the sender.

CAUSE

This problem occurs because the transport functions do not verify the configuration for the outgoing message after the Exchange Server administrator clicks to clear the Display sender's name on messages check box.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem, download and install Update Rollup 3 for Exchange 2007.
