MORE INFORMATION
If a computer becomes unbootable because of operating system problems, permissions issues, corrupted files, or another reason, you can use Remote Recover together with a tape drive or together with backup software in order to restore the computer. To do this, follow these steps:
- Start the computer by using a Remote Recover client startup disk.
- Mount the drives of the computer by using the Remote Recover host program from a backup server.
- Create a restore job by using the backup software. When you do this, point the restore to the remote drives that are mounted by Remote Recover.
- Perform the restore operation.
- After the restore operation is complete, dismount the drives, and then restart the computer.
