The hotfix that is discussed in this article is not available for the Chinese version of Microsoft Dynamics CRM or for the Japanese version of Microsoft Dynamics CRM.
SYMPTOMS
In the associated view for the custom entity in Microsoft Dynamics CRM 3.0, custom entity records that are deactivated are invisible.
RESOLUTION
Hotfix information
A supported hotfix is now available from Microsoft. However, it is intended to correct only the problem that is described in this article. Apply it only to systems that are experiencing this specific problem. This hotfix may receive additional testing. Therefore, if you are not severely affected by this problem, we recommend that you wait for the next Microsoft Dynamics CRM 3.0 service pack that contains this hotfix.

Removal information
To remove this hotfix from a computer that is running Microsoft Windows Server 2003, Microsoft Windows XP, or Microsoft Windows 2000, use Add or Remove Programs in Control Panel.
System administrators can use the Spuninst.exe tool to remove this hotfix from a computer that is running Microsoft Windows Server 2003, Microsoft Windows XP, or Microsoft Windows 2000.
The Spuninst.exe tool is located in the %Windir%\$NTUninstallKB$\Spuninst folder.
Installation information
Install this hotfix on computers that are running the Microsoft Dynamics CRM server components and the Microsoft Dynamics CRM client for Microsoft Outlook components.
Install this hotfix on the Microsoft Dynamics CRM server and on the Microsoft Dynamics CRM client for Microsoft Outlook. To do this, follow these steps:
- Click Start, click Run, type regedit, and then click OK.
- Use one or more of the following methods, depending on the software that you have installed.

- In the registry, locate the following subkey:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\MSCRM
- Right-click MSCRM, point to New, click DWORD Value, and then type IgnoreCustomEntityFilter in the Name field.
- Double-click IgnoreCustomEntityFilter. Then, type 1 in the Value data field.
- Click Start, click Run, type iisreset, and then click OK.
- In the registry, locate the following subkey:

If the value data of the IgnoreCustomEntityFilter DWORD value is reverted to 0, Microsoft Dynamics CRM applies the custom entity filter again. Additionally, the related records that are deactivated remain invisible.
