MORE INFORMATION
The Internet Explorer 7 Phishing Filter uses a combination of a built-in-filter, an online information service, and a built-in mechanism to report suspected phishing sites. It also includes a method to report false warnings.
A "red block" on a Web site is typically based on information that was provided by phishing data providers, by verified end-user feedback to the online service, or by both. For more information about the data providers with whom we work, visit the following Web site:
If you think that a Web site that you own or administer has been incorrectly designated as a possible phishing Web site or as a suspicious Web site, you can immediately submit a request for a correction. Phishing Filter has a built-in Web-based feedback system to help customers, Web site owners, and Web site administrators report potential false warnings or blocks as quickly as possible.
From a yellow warning in Internet Explorer 7 or in Windows Live Toolbar, click Report this site as safe. Or from a red warning, click Report that this is not a phishing website. You will be directed to a feedback page, where you can indicate that you are a site owner or an administrator. Follow the instructions, and provide the requested information about the site. After the Web form is submitted, a team of graders inspects the site. For the quickest resolution, submit all disputes through the Web site reporting process.
