Introduction

This article describes the files that are included on Disk 3 in the installation disks for Microsoft Virtual PC for Mac Version 7. Additionally, this article describes when you may be asked to insert this CD.

When you purchase Virtual PC for Mac Version 7 bundled together with Microsoft Windows XP Professional or with Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition, the package includes three installation CD disks. Disk 1 and Disk 2 are used to install Virtual PC for Mac Version 7 and Windows XP Professional or Windows XP Home Edition.

When you purchase Virtual PC for Mac Version 7 bundled together with Windows XP Professional or with Windows XP Home Edition, you are not prompted to insert Disk 3 when you install Virtual PC for Mac Version 7. Additionally, you are not prompted to insert Disk 3 when you create a virtual machine in Virtual PC for Mac Version 7.

Disk 3 contains additional Microsoft Windows system files. For example, you may be prompted to insert Disk 3 when you add Windows components in the Add or Remove Program item in Control Panel in the virtual machine.
