SYMPTOMS

When you use Office Genuine Advantage to validate Microsoft Office 2003 or to validate Microsoft Office XP, you receive one of the following error messages:

Validation Incomplete: Office Must Be Activated

Error message 2


0x8018101

CAUSE

The validation process could not be completed because your copy of Microsoft Office has not been activated.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem, start any Office program, and then use the activation wizard to complete the steps that are required for activation.
