SYMPTOMS

After you install the Microsoft Internet Explorer cumulative security update that is documented in Microsoft Knowledge Base article 918899, you receive the following error message in Microsoft Dynamics CRM:

Internet Explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.
If you were in the middle of something, the information you were working on might be lost.
Please tell Microsoft about this problem.

To resolve this problem, install hotfix 923996.
