Excel: Macro Buttons Don't Print |
The information in this article applies to:
- Microsoft Excel for Windows, versions 4.0, 4.0a, 5.0
- Microsoft Excel for the Macintosh, versions 4.0, 5.0
SUMMARY
In Microsoft Excel, macro buttons do not print or preview unless the object properties are manually changed.
MORE INFORMATION
Versions 3.0 and later of Microsoft Excel have a button drawing tool which can be used to draw a button that automatically runs a macro.
In version 3.0 of Microsoft Excel, buttons automatically print with the worksheet. However, in Microsoft Excel version 4.0, you must enable an option for the button to print.
The following steps enable this option:
- Select the object. To prevent the macro from running when the button is selected, hold down the CTRL key in Windows or the COMMAND key on the Macintosh.
- From the Format menu, choose Object Properties. (If you are using version 5.0, choose Object from the Format menu, then select the Properties tab.)
- Select the Print Object check box.
