SYMPTOMS

Microsoft Internet Explorer 6 may stop responding when you close an HTML page that uses display filters or transitions. When this problem occurs, the Internet Explorer thread that is associated with the HTML page stops responding after you close the browser window.

CAUSE

This problem occurs because of a problem in the Dxtrans.dll file that the display filters use in the HTML page.

RESOLUTION
