SYMPTOMS

When you start Microsoft Money, you may receive an error message that resembles the following:

Your current security settings do not allow this file to be downloaded.

CAUSE

This behavior occurs when the security settings for the Local intranet zone of the Web browser are set to High.

WORKAROUND

To resolve this behavior, use the appropriate method

Windows Internet Explorer 7

Note This resolution assumes that you are using Windows Internet Explorer 7 as your default browser. For information about how to download or upgrade Internet Explorer 7, visit the following Microsoft Web site:

  1. Start Internet Explorer 7.
  2. Click Tools, and then click Internet Options.
  3. In the Internet Options dialog box, click the Security tab.
  4. Click Local intranet, and then click Custom Level.
  5. Under Reset Custom Settings, click Medium in the Reset to list.
  6. Click OK two times.


Microsoft Internet Explorer 6

Note This resolution assumes that you are using Microsoft Internet Explorer 6 as your default browser. For information about how to download or upgrade to Internet Explorer 6 Service Pack 1, visit the following Microsoft Web site:

  1. Start Internet Explorer 6.
  2. On the Tools menu, click Internet Options.
  3. In the Internet Options dialog box, click the Security tab.
  4. Click Local intranet, and then click Custom Level.
  5. Under Reset Custom Settings, click Medium in the Reset to list.
  6. Click OK two times.
